In Niche Marketing myself Nicole Dean has done an great job of providing some top shelf information here. Some of the best tips on the planet for getting your ratings up where they need to be.
As an online business owner, you may already know that content makes the world go round. You need articles for your niche marketing, more content for your weekly ezine or newsletter, and even more content if you’re planning to do article marketing to get free advertising for your website. So, before your fingers curl in terror, let me give you a few ideas that will save you some hassle (and some money).
But, before we start, here are a few reasons why content is important.
First of all, the search engines reward content. They are in the information business, so they reward more quality information with more traffic to your site. That’s right. The more information you put on your website or blog, the more they’ll send you visitors. (Note, I said “quality” content?)
Second, your readers are looking for quality information. When they land on your website and find it, they’ll stick around. Not only that, but they are much more likely to tell their friends, recommend your website on forums, and digg it. You’ll have a fan for life.
Third, providing quality content establishes you as an expert in whatever your chosen niche marketing is. The more value you provide to readers, the more they begin to look at you as their information source. You’ll start receiving requests for interview and joint ventures as your arsenal of information grows. You’re reading my article right now, right? Hopefully you’ll remember me as an expert in content.
So, how do you get content for your website or blog? Basically, when looking for content, you have a few options.
1. Write the content yourself. This is a wonderful option for some of your content. You can choose to write some of it yourself. However, there are options below that will enable you to attract quality content to your niche without having to write all of it yourself. (Some you can just edit and use.) Using a mixture of the options will provide you with more freedom to grow without feeling trapped to your computer all day.
2. Get a Great Writer. A ghostwriter is a freelancer who writes for you but you take the credit. There are many sites on the web where you can find freelancers. Start by searching google.com, or go to sites like elance.com or shelancers.com to look around. Most biographies are written by ghostwriters. Almost every politician on the planet uses a speech writer. When time is short, get a ghostwriter to give your project a quick boost.
3. Team up with others. Find other online business owners looking for exposure and recruit them as expert columnists or guest bloggers. They’ll be glad to do it for the free advertising and exposure and you’ll benefit by having more content for your niche or blog. This is a great way to add value to your ezine, as well.
4. Check out the Article Directories. Popular article directories like Isnare.com, EzineArticles.com and FreeAffiliateArticles.com offer a variety of informative articles written by respected experts in a variety of fields. You may reprint these articles on your website or blog as long as you include the author bio that is included at the end. See the bottom of this article for an example — mine.
5. Load up with Private Label Rights (PLR) . PLR content was created to fill a need that we, as website owners have — the ongoing need for quality content. When you purchase PLR articles, you have nearly 100% freedom to use them. You can edit the articles, modify them for your market, create viral reports from them, or even use them to write your first book. The problem is finding quality PLR articles. There is a lot of junk out there. In order to choose a quality PLR site, be sure to find one that has been around for awhile (not some fly-by-night site). Also, check that the articles have been professionally written and edited. Were the articles created specifically for that site or are they recycled from other PLR sites? Once you find a great PLR service, you’ll wish that you started sooner.
Now that you’re aware of some of the options to getting more content quickly, I hope you take advantage of these recommendations. It is possible to experience more freedom from your business and, at the same time, more income. My wish for you is to work smarter, not harder — and watch your online business grow!
