There are two main methods to generate traffic to your website. These methods are the paid traffic and the free traffic. In the paid traffic you are paying money to get traffic from search engines sponsor programs or another website that provides advertising space, while in the free traffic method you are getting traffic from free sources like search engines, blogs, forums and other websites that recommended your site as a good resource.

You will pay a lot of money if you choose one technique in the paid category but it will gives you fast results. The best sources for paid traffics are search engines advertising programs, e-mail marketing and banner advertising. You must test each one of them separately with different landing pages to know which one of them will work on your site, but you should start with pay per click advertising.

Pay per click advertising is the best method if you want to use the paid method. Generally you ask a webmaster that has site similar to your niche to display your link or your ad and when customer clicks on it you pay for that click. The better way is to use search engine advertising program because you can target specific keywords in your niche but the problem in PPC programs that you must have a high quality landing page and you must know how to write your ads right.

In free methods you do not pay money to get traffic but you put huge amount of time and effort to get it. You must write high quality content in your site and you must have something different and special in your site to make people link to you and recommended you. The search engine is the best method to get free traffic but you should know the basics of search engine optimization to make your site rank on it. There are two other ways to get free traffic likes writing articles on the major article directories which will drive traffic to your site and start interesting blog that attract people to your website.

The best free traffic method is search engine free traffic where your site appear in Google, Yahoo and Bing in specific Phrases. Search engines usually rank sites based on many characteristics including domain name age, back-links and content. You must update your site at least two times per week with unique quality content to make search engines visit your site everyday which will help you to take higher position. You can build your site on expired domain to solve the age problem. Your main problem will be generating back-links to your site.

In summary, Generating traffic to your site must be your main concern because without it you will never make sales or generating profits. You should focus only on one method of the two methods of generating traffic and I recommended that you focus in the free method if you are expert in your niche or if you can provide something special in your site.

Hi folks, it’s Gail again. I made a post/page yesterday (August 11th) on a new tool David and I found on how to make money blogging. And I have an exciting update!

First, to recap: I found a tool last week, but never got around to looking at it until August 7th. On August 8th I decided to go ahead and try it. On August 9th, I put up a blog and made a couple of posts. On the morning of August 10th I was fully indexed in Google, and on August 11th I was on page 1 of google!

Update! Blogging News Flash!

David put up his blog late Saturday night (the 9th). It’s in a fairly competitive area, with over 5 million search results for his term.

So, here we were, checking our computers and David said, “Hey, I’m number 1 on Google!”. I went to Google and typed in his search term in quotes (specific search) and sure enough, he was number 1!

Then I thought a second and typed in his search term without the quotes. If you know about search engines, it means that they think you are the most relevant site for that term.

David’s brand new blog was in the number 2 spot without the quotes!!!! How’s that for a blog that’s just 3 days old?

This Really Works!

I wish I had found out about this much sooner — like six months ago would have been nice. But I just had to share it with you. You can check out more on this exciting blogging tool and see how it will work for you. I honestly wish I had found this sooner, but then again, I’m just thankful I did find it.

David and I both have a couple of new (as in created today) blogs in the pipeline, so I’ll give another update in a few days and let you know how that’s progressing.
